Amy Burroughs is an associate attorney practicing in family law. She graduated from Mitchell Hamline School of Law in St. Paul, MN in January 2018 and was admitted into the Bar in May 2018. While in law school, Amy was active in leadership roles at Mitchell Hamline, volunteered with the Mitchell Hamline Family Law Self-Help Clinic and a frequent volunteer with Southern Minnesota Regional Legal Services (SMRLS). She was a certified student attorney for Ramsey County Public Defender’s Office and the Mitchell Hamline Child Protection Clinic. She also served as an extern with the Honorable Judge Thomas Fraser in Hennepin County District Court- Family Division and the Minnesota Department of Human Services.

After law school, Amy clerked for the Honorable Referee Elizabeth Clysdale in Ramsey County District Court - Family Division. Amy’s experience as a law clerk gives her insight into the court’s considerations on family law issues.

Before attending law school, Amy worked in College Student Affairs at colleges in Pennsylvania, Florida, and Ohio.

Amy is a member of the Association for Family and Conciliation Courts where she serves on the Education and Professional Development Committee and the Ramsey County Bar Association.
